Saints Win Big at 2025 Sal’s NBL Awards

🏀 On-Court Awards – A Season to Remember

After finishing as Minor Premiers with a league-best 16–4 record, our on-court success has been recognised with a stunning collection of individual awards:

  • Nick Marshall – NBL All Star 5
    A breakout season saw Nick average 19.9 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 2.2 APG, earning his place among the league’s elite.
    Some of his top performances included:
    👉🏽 35pts, 6reb vs SOU
    👉🏽 28pts, 12reb vs NEL
    👉🏽 25pts, 7reb, 5stl vs FRA
    👉🏽 25pts, 11reb vs AKL
    👉🏽 27pts, 5ast vs AKL

  • Hyrum Harris – Defensive Player of the Year
    The heart of the Saints' league-best defence, Hyrum delivered across every category:
    13.9 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 4.9 APG, 1.8 STL, 0.4 BLK – showing why he’s one of the most complete two-way players in the league.

  • Kazlo Evans Jr – Rapid League All Star 5
    Kazlo led the charge for our Rapid League squad, finishing the season ranked:
    8.9 PPG (#9), 3.2 APG (#1), 1.1 SPG (#2) – a true playmaker who set the tone from tip-off.

  • Aaron Young – Coach of the Year
    In his debut season at the helm, Young guided the Saints to an 80% winning percentage (16–4) – the club’s best record since 2021 and a return to our trademark winning culture.

The club also earned two major positional honours:

  • Most Outstanding Guard (Keith Carr Trophy): Nick Marshall

  • Most Outstanding NZ Guard (John Macdonald Trophy): Izayah Le’afa

We’re also proud to have been recognised for our impact off the court, where storytelling and fan engagement remain a key focus:

  • Best Social Media – A shoutout to our passionate online community who ride every high and low with us.

These awards are a celebration of the entire Saints whānau – from the players and coaches who gave everything on the court, to the creators, partners, volunteers, and fans who fuel our mission every day.
