Giants Edge Saints in Nelson Thriller
The Saints opened their round with a tight contest against the Nelson Giants in Nelson, going down 97–95 in a game that came down to the final moments.
Both sides traded blows throughout, with neither team able to create clear separation. The Saints stayed composed late and gave themselves a chance to steal the result, but the Giants executed in the closing stages to secure the win.

Returning to Wellington, the Saints produced a strong response against the Auckland Tuatara, earning an impressive home win in front of their fans.
