Mills Albert Wellington Saints Release 2026 Season Schedule
The Mills Albert Wellington Saints have unveiled their 2026 Sal’s NBL schedule, highlighted by marquee home games, blockbuster theme rounds, and several special celebrations for fans across Wellington and Porirua.
Saints Open Season With Banner Night – April 12
The Saints tip off their 2026 campaign at home on Sunday, 12 April, hosting the Manawatu Jets in Rivalry Round. The afternoon will be especially memorable as the club raises its 13th championship banner into the rafters of TSB Arena, honouring another chapter of Saints history.
Head Coach Aaron Young says the moment will set the tone for the season:
“Wellington expects excellence, and this group embraces that. Dropping our 13th banner is a celebration of our past, but it’s also a reminder of the standard we’re chasing again in 2026.”
Return to Porirua – May 10
One of the biggest fixtures of the year comes on Sunday, 10 May, when the Saints return to Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua to take on the Franklin Bulls. This marks the team’s only game back in Porirua in 2026 and is expected to draw a huge crowd.
Mad Monday – $10 Tickets (May 25)
The Saints host the Hawks on Monday, 25 May, for a special Mad Monday event, with all tickets priced at just $10, a major chance for families and new fans to experience Saints basketball.
Heritage Round – July 12
The annual Heritage Round returns on Sunday, 12 July, when the Saints welcome the Canterbury Rams to TSB Arena during School Holiday Hoops. The Rams were the Saints’ first road opponent of the season, making this rematch one of the most anticipated games of the year.
Grand Final Rematch – July 25
The Saints’ final home game of the regular season comes on Saturday, 25 July, against the Southland Sharks, a 2025 Grand Final rematch that could have heavy playoff implications.
CEO Jordan Mills says the 2026 schedule offers something special for every Saints supporter:
“We’ve worked hard to deliver a schedule packed with energy, accessibility, and big moments. From Heritage Round to our Porirua return and a Grand Final rematch, this season is built for our fans. We can’t wait to fill TSB Arena again.”
