Saints defeat Philippines National team 17 Jul 2013

A Wellington Saints invitation team has beaten the Philippines national team 100-96.

In front of a crowd of 1200 at Te Rauparaha Arena, most of which were from Philippines the Saints managed to come back from a double digit deficit to seal the win.

It was a fantasic atmosphere, with the crowd making plenty of noise for the Gilas, who played with great speed and athletism.

Bryant Markson top scored for the Saints with 32 points, while former Saints Kareem Johnson had 30 points and 10 rebounds.
