Saints Win Eight in a Row 02 Jul 2013

The Wellington Saints are on a role, winning eight in a row and are top of the table.

It was going to be a tough ask for the Saints, who had to play three games in six days last week, but sure enough Pero Cameron's team stepped up to the plate, winning all three games including the OceanaGold Nuggets 97-72.

The Nuggets were previously unbeaten before the game, but the Wellington side put together a strong collective effort to seal the win with out star player Lindsay Tait.

Tait will probably miss their game this Friday night against the Southland Sharks, but should be fine for the playoffs which are in Hawkes Bay, July 13.

If the Saints beat the Sharks on Friday, then they will win the regular season title for the sixth time ever and the fourth time since 2008.
