Smooth Tai Welsey returns 18 Jan 2018
The Wellington Saints believe we have boosted our chances of an elusive three peat with the re-signing of Tai Wesley for the upcoming NBL season.

Last season, Wesley was the one key contributors for the Saints record unbeaten season which led to the franchise’s 10th championship, averaging 18.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. The former BYU Hawaii star and Guam international was instrumental in last season’s semi-final over the Canterbury Rams, scoring a season high 36 points.

Head Coach Kevin Braswell is beyond excited to have Tai and his family come back to the Saints, “not only is he the best post player that is playing on this side of the world but he is an incredible guy that brings so much more than just his basketball skills to the club. The culture that we have created here in Wellington is amazing and he is a huge part in keeping our success going”.

The Wellington Saints are working hard to retain our 2017 unbeaten team so stay tuned, for more playing signings!
