Tait is a lightning quick point guard who is playing his thrid season with the Saints. Tait played for the Auckland Stars winning a championship with them in 2005.

Tait also won the most valuable player for the Stars in 2005 averaging 21 points and 4 assists.

Tait has played in the Australian NBL for the NZ Breakers and Wollongong Hawks.
